About the event

Food on Film is a short film contest conducted as part of ESCULENT’2K26, a national-level technical symposium organized by the Department of Food Technology, Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.
The contest invites college students to create an original 3–4 minute Tamil short film based on food technology, sustainability, food safety, food waste, innovation or future food systems.
Participants can use fiction, documentary, awareness, experimental or narrative formats to combine creativity with food-related ideas.

Meet the organizer

Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HiCET) Coimbatore, established in the year 2000 by the great Industrialist and Philanthropist, Thiru.T.S.R.Khannaiyann of Hindusthan Educational Trust whose determination and dynamism made possible the realization of this institution of excellence.
