The Short-Term Training Programme (STTP) on “Building Smart Solutions: Hands-on IoT and AI at the Edge” is a
comprehensive initiative designed to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the
rapidly evolving fields of IoT, edge computing, and artificial intelligence. Participants gain a solid understanding of IoT
architectures, sensor integration, and edge computing fundamentals, establishing the groundwork for building smart
solutions. Through interactive labs and practical sessions, attendees work directly with microcontrollers, sensors,
and various communication protocols, learning how to set up and deploy IoT devices and lightweight AI models on
