Hack with GDG Season 2 isn't just about coding; it's a complete tech and innovation experience. Here's a closer look at the lineup of events to make the hackathon both challenging and exciting:

1. 24-Hour Offline Hackathon (Main Event)
Date: 7th & 8th November 2024
Description: The core of the hackathon is a 24-hour coding marathon where shortlisted teams from Round 1 will bring their innovative ideas to life. Teams will brainstorm, design, and develop functional prototypes under time pressure, demonstrating their skills and creativity.
Location: KSR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Namakkal
2. Round 1: Idea Submission
Start Date: 20th October 2024
Description: Participants are required to submit their project ideas as a PowerPoint presentation, detailing the concept, technology stack, and potential impact. Prototypes, if available, can be included to strengthen the submission. The best ideas will be selected for the final round.
Selection Criteria: Innovation, feasibility, and potential impact of the proposed solution.
3. Technical Events (During Round 2)
Alongside the hackathon, there will be various technical challenges designed to test participants' skills and keep the adrenaline pumping.
a. Code Combat

Format: Competitive coding challenge
Description: A fast-paced programming competition where participants solve algorithmic problems within a given time frame. The event will test problem-solving skills, coding speed, and logical thinking.
b. Catch the Flag (CTF)

Format: Cybersecurity challenge
Description: Participants engage in a cybersecurity competition, solving puzzles and challenges related to cryptography, network security, reverse engineering, and more. A thrilling event for security enthusiasts to demonstrate their hacking skills.
4. Non-Technical Events
Description: To keep the atmosphere lively, a variety of non-tech activities will be organized. These events are aimed at providing a break from the intense coding sessions, encouraging participants to relax, have fun, and stay energized.
Examples: Trivia quizzes, team-building games, creative competitions, etc.
5. Workshops & Networking
Workshops: Hands-on sessions led by industry experts on topics like emerging technologies, coding best practices, design thinking, and project management.
Networking: Opportunities to connect with mentors, industry professionals, and like-minded participants to share knowledge and experiences.
6. Award Ceremony & Closing Event
Description: The hackathon will conclude with an award ceremony where the winners of the hackathon and other events will be announced. Special recognition will be given to the most innovative projects, and all participants will receive certificates for their contributions.
