In the industrial age of today, Non Destructive Evaluation of materials, components and assemblies has become increasingly important and plays a crucial role. As the consequences of component failure are more serious than ever, the integrity of component has to be evaluated and assessed even at stages of its production. This pre-conference workshop aims at presenting various Non-Destructive testing and evaluation techniques that are being used for detection and characterization of defects, evaluation of residual stress, and assessment of microstructure of mechanical components in general and casting & welding structures in particular.
