About Event

LitFest is the annual three day event organised by the Literary Seminary of Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. A fest that attracts both research scholars and students with the wide variety of events it organises and the renowned speakers that attend, the LitFest has been going strong since its launch in 2010. This year, it’s better than ever with the addition of The Great Indian Shakespearean Fest, which is being held in association with Crea-Shakthi, an esteemed theatre group in Chennai, as we celebrate the 450th birth anniversary of William Shakespeare. LITFEST 20154 has six events lined up, all of which will be related to some aspect of everyone’s beloved Bard. The Great Indian Shakespearean Fest, wich will be held in the Music Academy, will be the most anticipated event, since this is the first ever event of its nature to be held at Dr. M.G.R Educational and Research Institute. The conference, with the theme ‘Shakespeare- The Quintessential Zeitgeist’ will take place simultaneously, with a variety of Lectures, Symposiums and paper presentations by renowned speakers.
