About Event

Soudha 2k14, a National level technical symposium conducted by the department of Civil Engineering, UCEK, JNTU Kakinada is one of its kind in Andhra Pradesh taking the students zeal to a higher extent. SOUDHA 2k14 brings out events that make the students mind innovative, think-a-logic. SOUDHA involves hundreds of studentson a common platform to expose out their talents. SOUDHA 2K9 was our source of inspiration and first technical event from students. SOUDHA 2K11, SOUDHA 2K12,SOUDHA 2K13 extended the zeal to a national arena.

How to reach JNTU Kakinada

Air The nearest airport is located at Rajahmundry, about 65-km, from the city has services to Hyderabad, Chennai and Visakhapatnam. Air Deccan and Kingfisher Airlines are the two airlines operating here. The nearest International airport is at Visakhapatnam at a distance of 125-km and has the services of all major airline operators to all big cities in the country. A new international airport is being built by government of Andhra Pradesh midway between kakinada and Visakhapatnam in Kakinada Special Economic Zone (KSEZ). Railway/ Rail Road Kakinada has three railway stations namely Kakinada Junction(3km), Kakinada Port(8km) and Samalkot Junction(12km) which are situated along the Chennai- Howrah rail route of South Central Railway. There are a number of express and super fast trains that connect Kakinada with the important places of the country. Road Good roads connect Kakinada with all the places within the state and also with major cities like Chennai and Bangalore. Transport by road from Kakinada to all the places of interest is in the form of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) buses.There are non-stop services to Visakhapatnam and Rajahmundry 365 days-a-year. City buses, Taxis, Autorickshaws are the major means of transport within the city.Private bus operators provide transport services to various parts of the country. National Highway-214 runs through the heart of the city.
