VLSI circuits are used universally in real world application s. These include microprocessors in a personal computer or workstation\, c hips in a digital camera\, chips in a cell phone and embedded processors i n an automobile. The design of VLSI circuit has many phases. This workshop aims in providing a good opportunity to the Faculty members\, Research Sc holars and Students\, to have an insight of modelling\, simulation and imp lementation procedure in the design of VLSI circuits. The workshop will in troduce the participants to the various phases in the design of VLSI circu its. A demonstration of hardware modelling and simulation of VLSI circuits will be provided to help the participants gain more understanding. FPGA p rogramming for circuit implementation will be demonstrated using SPARTAN 6 by field experts. The program will focus on practical aspects and include examples which are prescribed in the VLSI Design Lab course by Anna unive rsity in the current Regulation
