DESCRIPTION:<p>Water Rocketry is a fun event that requires both skill and r
 esourcefulness. Participants will have to make rockets using plastic bottl
 es\, which thrust water due to pressurized air. Be the backyard scientist 
 you always wanted to be and unleash your creativity here!<br />\n<br />\nD
 esign a water rocket that is completely powered by the thrust delivered by
  water expelled at high pressure\, along with its launchpad.<br />\n<br />
 \nPrize Money: INR 15\,000<br />\n<br />\nOn-Campus Round Date: 26th March
 \,2023<br />\n<br />\nIt consists of two rounds.<br />\n<br />\nRound 1: R
 ange Test<br />\n<br />\nRound 2: Reach the Target<br />\n<br />\n<br />\n
 <br />\nRound 1: Range Test.<br />\n<br />\nEliminative round<br />\n<br /
 >\nThe rocket has to travel a minimum cutoff distance of 90 m. Projection 
 angle is up to the participants.<br />\n<br />\nThe points will be conside
 red according to the following relation:<br />\n<br />\nTotal Points = Ran
 ge (in metres) / 5<br />\n<br />\n<br />\n<br />\nRound 2: Reaching the Ta
 rget.<br />\n<br />\nTests the stability and accuracy of the rocket.<br />
 \n<br />\nTwo chances will be provided for launching the rocket.<br />\n<b
 r />\nScores will be based on the Target zone on which the rocket lands.<b
 r />\n<br />\n#RULES<br />\nMaximum of 3 participants in each team. Indivi
 dual participation is also allowed.<br />\n<br />\nAll energy given to the
  rocket must come only from water/air pressure combination. No other sourc
 e of energy is allowed.<br />\n<br />\nThe teams will be disqualified/give
 n another chance to remodel if their model is found to be dangerous in any
  way. No glass or sharp objects should be used in making the rockets.<br /
 >\n<br />\nWater rockets have multiple stages. Parachute\, gliding and oth
 er mechanical launch mechanisms are allowed. Booster mechanisms are allowe
 d as well.<br />\n<br />\nYou are only allowed to use plastic bottles spec
 ifically designed for holding pressure\, or that have been pressure tested
  (for example carbonated-drink bottles).<br />\n<br />\nMore than one bott
 le can be used but the maximum capacity of the bottle/bottles should be 2.
 5L. It is not necessary for both the bottles to be identical.<br />\n<br /
 >\nOnly water should be used as the working fluid. No other fluid is allow
 ed. Participants should only use the water provided by organizers.<br />\n
 <br />\nFoot pumps will be provided by the organizers\, this pump is compa
 tible with standard bike valves. Participants must only use the pump provi
 ded by the organizers.<br />\n<br />\nParticipants can make different mode
 ls for different rounds but the volume and the bottles provided should be 
 the same.<br />\n<br />\nUse of electronic components and chemical explosi
 ves is banned.<br />\n<br />\n<br />\nJudging Criteria:<br />\n<br />\nThe
  final judgment is based on the total points scored by the team in round 2
 .<br />\n<br />\nThe distance of the water rocket will be measured from th
 e start to the first point of contact of rocket with the ground.<br />\n<b
 r />\nThe decision of the judges is final and binding</p>
