The basic objective of this certificate course is to impact the work knowledge of solar panel installation and testing. Solar energy is a major renewable energy source with the potential to
\nmeet many of the challenges facing the world. This solar power source is increasing in popularity because it is versatile with many benefits to people and t he environment.
\nMany engineers specify precise functional requireme nts\, and then design\, test\, and integrate components to produce design s for new products. After the design phase\, engineers are responsible fo r evaluating a design's effectiveness\, cost\, reliability\, and safety. Engineers use computers extensively to produce and analyze designs\, and for simulating and testing solar energy systems. Computers are also neces sary for monitoring quality control processes. Computer software develope rs design the software and other systems needed to manufacture solar comp onents\, manage the production of solar panels\, and control some solar g enerating systems. Electrical and Mechanical Energy engineers design\, d evelop\, test\, and supervise the manufacture of electrical components. T hey are responsible for designing the electrical circuitry of solar panel s and supporting devices for panels\, such as inverters and wiring system s.
