SUMMARY:Technical Workshop 2019
LOCATION:Karpagam College of Engineering\, Coimbatore
DESCRIPTION:
With increasing growth in the field of Electrical drives\, d
rives have made tremendous contribution in every part of life. This one-da
y national level workshop for Research Scholars\, Engineering Faculty\, PG
and UG students provide the recent advancements and applications in the f
ield of Industrial Drives. Instead of going for Conventional Drives\, peop
le are using modern drives like smart and miniature drives. This workshop
provides the participants to learn the modern trends in smart and miniatur
e motors.
\nSmart motor is a motor that will itself work as a sensor.
Smart motors are transforming a motor into a sensor\, that don’t requir
e any additional sensor. The smart intelligent drives\, will able to colle
ct the data directly from the motor and no additional sensors will be need
ed anymore. The data obtained from the motor is being used to determine th
e health of the drive system. The new generation motors are capable of sel
f diagnosing the faults for the power of future.
\nMiniature motors h
ave reduced size and weight which enhances the efficiency and reliability
of the drives. The miniature motors are more comfortable to use and it is
a design compact machine. Miniature motors are widely used in Industrial A
utomation\, Aerospace\, Clinical diagnostics\, Medical Instruments\, Secur
ity and Industry power tools.
