The application of nanotechnology in medicine currently being developed involves employing nanoparticles to deliver drugs\, heat\, light or other substances to specific types of cel ls. The Nanoparticles are engineered so that they are attracted to disease d cells\, which allow direct treatment of those cells. This technique redu ces damage to healthy cells in the body and allows for earlier detection o f disease\, which can provide the ultimate solution for various infectious diseases which occur during the period of deployment in the military.
