About the Programme :

\nThe programme\, Essenti als of Mechanical Engineering is a 10 day summer internship programme orga nized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering\, SSN College of Enginee ring\, jointly with Barola Group (a recognized firm for training students in the building of UAV’s and applications using Embedded systems).
\n
\nObjective:
\nThe objective of this internship programme is to introduce students of Mechanical Engineering background the necessary f undamentals in core topics and provide a platform for practical learning i n key areas covering NC machines\, Energy and IC Engines.
\n
\nH ands on Sessions:
\nHands on experience shall be given to each and ev ery student on the above three areas mentioned besides covering the theory . It is made mandatory in our programme that no student participant leaves without learning the importance of Energy and Environment as these are th e widely addressed topics of the day in industrial/domestic sectors. Hands on sessions are planned in the areas on Energy specifically to emphasize the above fact.

\nProject Assignments:
\nThe student par ticipants during the ten day period are given an opportunity to involve in group project assignments and presentations exhibiting their technical sk ills.
\n
\nSoft Skill Training:
\nDue importance is given t o soft skills and few sessions have been allotted to involve students in a ctivity based learning to hone their intrapersonal skills as well.
\n
\nPlacement Guidance:
\nConsidering the need of the day\, it ha s been planned to dedicate few sessions for placement guidance. Focus shal l be on Tips for successful placements for the participants.
\n
\nOn the spot Assessments &\; Rewards:
\nIt has been made mandator y that every technical lecture session concludes with an "on the spot asse ssment" with on the spot rewards for best performers.
\nThe workshop is designed to conclude with special tips for successful placement and pro ject report submission/presentation on the projects assigned. Awards shall be given to Best Three Projects and Free Internships to be awarded for be st performers in training sessions.The organizers wish the programme to be highly systematic addressing to the point. Hence\, all the participants a re requested to consider the programme with utmost seriousness offering th eir full support. Participants are encouraged to bring their Laptops for d eriving the best out of this internship.

\nComplete agenda shall be dispatched to participants at the time of reporting to our progra mme at SSN Campus.

\nNumber of Participants :
\nRestrict ed to 200 - 220 students only on first come first served basis. Beyond thi s limit\, 30 extra registrations can be taken up by the organizers conside ring them as wait listed candidates. Registration for the wait list can be confirmed based on availability only. If registration is not confirmed\, the registration amount after deducting Rs. 375/- shall be returned either by NEFT or in person to the respective participants.

\nAccommodation:
\n
\nAccommodation is given to 100 - 150 members in our hostel subjec t to availability\, at a nominal cost of Rs. 200/- per participant per day including breakfast\, lunch and dinner. As an example\, the cost works ou t to be Rs. 2000/- for ten days per participant excluding the registration fee. The participants can decide the number of days they need accommodati on as per their choice. Accommodation shall be given on first come fist se rved basis only. All participants should bring their college ID card.
