The STTP have an equal balance of theory and practical knowl edge which will pave a way for the students into the corporate world. We i ntroduce participants to the fundamentals of data analytics using R. A cas e study methodology is adopted to reinforce basics and teach first-level d ata science algorithms. The statistical concepts such as probability\, inf erence\, and modeling and how to apply them in practice are given as a par t and gain experience with the tidyverse\, including data visualization wi th ggplot2 and data wrangling with dplyr. Become familiar with essential t ools for practicing data scientists such as Unix/Linux\, git and GitHub\, and RStudio.
