present the fifth edition of Sociopreneur\, with all its glory\, in its g
randest and most exciting versions till date.
\nSociopreneur is the a
nnual national level business plan competition\, hosted by the Entrepreneu
rship Cell of Model Engineering College\, Cochin aimed at promoting ideas
for sustainable social ventures. It is one of the largest social entrepren
eurship competitions in South India. Sociopreneur invites the people to co
me up with innovative plans for social ventures targeting one or more of t
he several shortcomings of modern-day society.
\nSociopreneur aims t
o promote the spirit of social entrepreneurship among the youth and inculc
ate in them an in-depth understanding of the bottlenecks affecting the nat
ion’s development and the need to find strategic entrepreneurial solutio
ns to these hurdles\, thereby helping the society to reform and progress.<

The fifth edition of Sociopreneur will be conducted on 8th March\, 2 014 at Govt. Model Engineering College. Entries streaming in from across t he nation will be subjected to rounds of thorough and careful evaluation t o select the best six teams who will progress to the finals of Sociopreneu r 2014. The winners of Sociopreneur shall receive a whopping cash prize of Rs.50\, 000 as an economic incentive to bring their ideas to fulfillment.
