DESCRIPTION:<p>We are happy to invite you to one-day workshop on Smart Manu
 facturing to be held in IIITDM Kancheepuram\, on December 3\, 2016. The ob
 jective of this workshop is to highlight the opportunities smart manufactu
 ring brings to manufacturers in terms of improvements in performance.The w
 orkshop will begin with an opening plenary lecture on introduction to Smar
 t<br />\nManufacturing/Industry 4.0. Following that\, resource persons fro
 m reputed academia and industry will deliver interactive talks on areas re
 levant to smart manufacturing such as big data analytics\, machine to mach
 ine communications\, advanced robotics\, and Industrial Internet of Thing 
 (IIOT) and more. The final session of this workshop will brainstorm on how
  to get<br />\ninvolved\, and contribute to advancing the smart manufactur
 ing.<br />\n<br />\nWe have restricted the number of participants to 50\, 
 to fit the length and the intended depth of the meeting. Consequently\, we
