DESCRIPTION:<p>The Society of Mechanical Engineers\, a student run organiza
 tion under the guidance of faculty\, is committed to providing cutting edg
 e knowledge for the students of Mechanical Engineering community. With the
  Department of Mechanical Engineering being only the second branch inducte
 d in College of Engineering Guindy (CEG)\, SME commits itself in maintaini
 ng the vast heritage and rich legacy that has been associated with the Dep
 artment and our campus.<br />\nThe activities of SME CEG are aimed at brid
 ging the gap between institution and industry\, making the transition from
  college to corporate life seamlessly perfect. SME also vests its interest
 s in making the budding engineers good citizens of the country\, exploring
  the possibilities of tomorrow with regards to engineering and technology.
 <br />\nPlacement programs\, guest lectures\, hands on training and so muc
 h more for the benefit of the future engineers are organized periodically 
 as a step in shaping the future of the world.<br />\nAll the activities of
  SME culminate in the annual technical symposium of the Mechanical Enginee
 ring Department - "Pinnacle." With advanced workshops\, mind blowing techn
 ical sessions\, scintillating events and more\, Pinnacle 2017 is back for 
 the student community.</p>
