SUMMARY:One Day National Level Workshop on Programming with PL/SQL 15
LOCATION:Kongunadu College of Engineering and Technology\, Tiruchirappalli
DESCRIPTION:<p>Structured query language (SQL) is one of the most integral
parts of relational database management systems. It is a data oriented lan
guage used for a variety of functions that range from fetching data to the
manipulation of the data present in the Database. Even though SQL is one
of the easiest ways to communicate with the database\, it's capabilities a
re limited just to queries. In order to enhance the features\, PL/SQL is u
sed. PL/SQL (Procedural Language ) is an extension to SQL that adds more f
eatures by adding programming capabilities to the same. It uses the data h
andling feature of SQL and adds procedural constructs such as conditions\,
loops\, functions etc to give a powerful data programming language. The b
elow topics will be discussed in workshops.<br />\n<br />\n1) PL/SQL overv
 iew.<br />\n2) why PL/SQL<br />\n3) Environment of PL/SQL<br />\n4) PL/SQL
  program constructs.<br />\n5) Hands on using PL/SQL.</p>
