DESCRIPTION:<p>Wide area monitoring\, protection and control systems (WAMPA
 Cs) have been recognized as the most promising enabling technologies to me
 et challenges of modern electric power transmission systems. Reliability\,
  economics\, environmental and other social objectives must be balanced to
  optimize the grid assets and satisfy growing electrical demand. To this a
 im WAMPAC requires precise phasor and frequency information\, which are ac
 quired by deploying multiple time-synchronized sensors\, known as Phasor M
 easurement Units (PMUs). PMU provide precise synchronized information abou
 t voltage and current phasors\, frequency and rate-of-change-of-frequency.
  It is expected that WAMPAC systems improve the reliability and security o
 f energy production\, transmission and distribution\, particularly in powe
 r networks with a high level of operational uncertainties.</p>
