DESCRIPTION:<p>In response to the marked increase in research activity in 
 multifunctional materials and structures in the last few years\, this wor
 kshop is an attempt to identify the topics that are most<br />\nrelevant 
 to multifunctional composite materials and structures. Structural functio
 ns include mechanical properties like strength\, stiffness\, fracture to
 ughness\, and damping\, while nonstructural functions include electrical 
 and/or thermal conductivity\, sensing and actuation\, energy harvesting/
 storage\,self-healing capability\, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shi
 elding\,<br />\nrecyclability and biodegradability. This workshop provide
 s a platform for young scientists\, researchers\, and students to learn t
 he need\, preparation and characterization of composite<br />\nmaterials.
  It will certainly help the society in various aspects of Engineering and
  Technology. </p>
