The main theme of the workshop is environ ment\, energy and sustainability which are the current challenges being fa ced by the engineers and scientists

In addi tion to the main theme\, the workshop will also cover the recent advances in chemical and allied fields such as novel separation techniques\, proces s intensification\, etc. Like any nation in the world\, the challenges fac ing the sustainability of technological advancement of chemical industry i n India today are re-inventing the use of materials\, Processes\, methods and interdisciplinary technological techniques. To address this challenge\ , Chemical Technology/Chemical Engineering is actually central to
\nm any of the environmental issues at the heart of sustainable development. W ith this idea\, the Chemical Engineering Department\,
\nRVR &\; JC College of Engineering (A)\, Guntur is planning to organize a National wo rkshop on “Advances in Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development ” on 7th February 2015. This workshop deliberates the newest technologie s for sustainable development in chemical engineering\, through careful an alysis of the technical aspects\, and discussion of the possible fields of industrial development. It is to bring together Scientists\, Technocrats\ , Entrepreneurs\, Researchers\, Regulatory Authorities and the younger gen eration of students to our forum.
\nThe basic objectives of the work shop are:
\n1. To discuss various advances in the chemical process i ndustries for better economic viability.
\n2. To recommend greener te chnologies for minimizing the adverse impacts of Chemical and Allied Indus tries
\n3. To exchange information on recent technologies\, ongoing a nd future policies\, programmes and projects concerning Green Technology f or sustainable development
