SUMMARY:National Level Workshop on Building internet of Things Projects fro
 m Scratch 2019
LOCATION:Kongu Engineering College\, Erode
DESCRIPTION:<p>The Internet of Things(IoT) is the inter- networking of devi
 ces\, vehicles\, buildings\, and other items embedded with electronics\, s
oftware\, sensors\, actuators\, and network connectivity which enable thes
e objects to collect and exchange data.<br />\nIoT provides different aspe
cts for research\, implementation\, and business. The IoT application doma
ins include smart agriculture\, smart healthcare\, smart city\, smart home
s\, smart buildings\, smart grid which are presently transitioning their l
 egacy<br />\ninfrastructure to support IoT.<br />\nArduino\, a microcontro
ller board and Raspberry Pi\, a fully functional mini-computer\, are both
cheap solutions for harnessing the IoT. Both devices are very good at read
ing the world around them. Both devices include plenty of inputs and outpu
ts for sensory add-ons to test light\, temperature\, humidity and more.Wit
h minimal coding knowledge\, open-source Python scripts can be built for a
utomation\, monitoring and uploading the data into the cloud.<br />\n<br /
 >\nHence it is necessary to learn the fundamentals of these programming fo
 r emerging IoT technology.</p>
