SUMMARY:National Conference On Small Satellites Technology And Applications
 (NCSSTA 2017)
LOCATION:Vel Tech Dr RR and Dr SR Technical University\, Chennai
DESCRIPTION:
Small satellites designed with advanced miniaturized technol
ogies are able to make missions possible for applications like remote sens
ing\, communication and space exploration which were earlier accomplished
by medium and large satellites. With the increasing demand of earth observ
ation satellites for applications in Agriculture\, Forestry\, Water resour
ces\, Urban planning\, Town planning\, Disaster Management support\, Ocean
and atmospheric observation etc… the number of satellite platforms requ
ired to provide these services are ever increasing to meet better specific
ation and more frequent revisits. To meet these demands efforts are requir
ed to increase the capacity in the satellite design\, production and appli
cations especially in small satellites. In this direction this conference
is arranged\, addressing the miniaturization technologies\, small satellit
es missions and applications involving the staff and students of universit
ies in India.
