Multi-Drug Resistant microbes are becoming an increasing al arm around the world. This ever growing resistance phenomenon in both de veloped and developing countries halts the progress in the treatment of much life threatening microbial disease in addition to the failure of an tibiotics against the infectious microbes which results in prolonged ill ness\, disability and death. Before we face the possibility of future wit hout effective antibiotics\, it is our need to study the root cause\, po ssible alternate and overcoming strategies against this global phenomenon .

In regard to this\, the Department o f Biotechnology of BIT has taken up an initiative to disseminate knowled ge to faculties\, students and research scholars on this molecular chara cteristic of multidrug resistance microbes-cause\, prevention and contro l which will make the young minds to have thrive interest to carry out c hallenging research for the better outcome.
