\n
\n ABOUT MUN
\nModel United Nations is an academic simulation of the Uni ted Nations
\nwhere students play the role of delegates from differen t countries and attempt to solve real world issues with the policies and p erspectives of their
\nassigned country. For example\, a student may be assigned the United Kingdom and will have to solve global topics such a s nuclear nonproliferation or climate change from the policies and perspec tives of the United Kingdom.Students can attend Model United Nations confe rences around the world.
\nConferences are offered for different acad emic levels: college and university\, high school\, middle school\, and gr ade school. There is no central
\ngoverning body for Model UN — any school/College can create a Model UN team and register for any Model UN c onference they wish to attend.
\nOnce a team has registered for a con ference\, it receives a country to represent. Each student on that team wi ll represent that country in a different committee with different topics. For example\, Best Delegate High School could be assigned a country and ha ve different students representing that country in the disarmament committ ee\, the human rights committee\, the development committee\, and so forth . Schools /Colleges with larger teams will receive additional countries. URL:https://www.knowafest.com/model-united-nations-mun-2021 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
