In this competition\, the participant or team of participant s must design and build an autonomous robotic “mouse” capable of trave rsing a maze of standard dimensions from a specified corner to its center in the shortest time possible.
\n
\nGUIDELINES:
\nAll enrol led students are eligible to participate in the Maze Explorer event.
\nA team must consist of a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 members.
\ nParticipants are restricted from being part of multiple teams simultaneou sly.
\nContestants are required to construct a self-operating maze ex plorer\; remote control operation is strictly prohibited.
\nThe compe tition will feature a single round.
\n
\nRULES:
\nFor parti cipation\, all teams must register online on the official BIT V-PRAYUKTI ’24 website.
\nBIT V-PRAYUKTI’24 is not responsible for late\, lo st\, or misdirected entries / any bot damages during bot run.
\nThe m icro-mouse is granted a maximum of 10 minutes to navigate the maze\, from the start of the timer.
\nThere will be two penalties\, one is a sear ch penalty that tells about how much time is being spent on the maze to st art its new run and the other penalty is
\na touch penalty that tells about how many times the micro-mouse touched the walls.
\nA runtime is noted after every run of a mouse\, covering the distance from the start ing position to the destination.
\nUpon entering the venue\, each par ticipant is required to promptly and safely hand over their Micro mouse ro bot to designated event staff or organizers.
\nAfter revealing the ma ze\, the participants are not allowed to make any changes to the micro mou se.
\nThe prize is awarded to the mouse with the shortest official ti me.
\n
\nBOT SPECIFICATION:
\nThe robot must be controlled autonomously with no human aid.
\nA Maze Solver shall not use an ener gy source employing a combustion process.
\nA Maze Solver shall not l eave any part of its body behind while navigating the maze.
\nA Maze Solver shall not jump over\, fly over\, climb\, scratch\, cut\, burn\, mar k\, damage\, or destroy the walls of the maze.
\n
\nTEAM FORMATI ON:
\nA team can consist of a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 members . Any institution or group of students may form a team or individuals may also participate.
\n
\nBOT DIMENSIONS:
\nA micro-mouse shal l not be larger in length or width than 16 cm.
\nThere are no restric tions on the height of a Micro mouse.
\nThe weight of the bot should be less than 2kg.
\n
\nMAZE SPECIFICATIONS:
\nMaze Dimensio ns - The maze is composed of 18cm x 18cm unit squares arranged to form a 1 6 x 16 unit grid.
\nThe walls of the units of the maze are 5 cm high and 1.2 cm thick (assume 5% tolerance or ± 2cm for mazes). An outside wal l encloses the entire maze.
