THE KURUKSHETRA CHESS TOURNAMENT:
The 2-Day Chess tour nament will be conducted by an Official Chess Association on Saturday\, Fe bruary 1st AND Sunday\, February 2nd on our campus. This is the ONLY Kuruk shetra Tournament which is open to non-college participants. The salient f eatures of the tournament are:
1) There is only 1 category - OPEN CA
TEGORY (no age factor involved at all).
\n2) The entry fee is Rs. 300
.
\n3) The Tournament is a 9-round Tournament (Swiss League System)
spread across 2 days.
\n4) FIDE Rules and Regulations apply.
\n
5) The duration of each round will be 1-hour.
\n6) The first 5 rounds
will go on from 09:00 AM - 6:00 PM on Saturday\, February 1st.
\n7)
The next 4 rounds will go on from 09:00 AM - 4:30 PM on Sunday\, February
2nd.
\n8) The Prize Distribution Ceremony will happen on Sunday eveni
ng\, along with a Special Band Event.
\n9) Players who possess chess
clocks are requested to bring one with them if possible.
\n10) For th
ose who wish to record games on paper\, we will provide Score Sheets. Howe
ver\, kindly bring your own pens/pencils for the same.
