Natural fibres are a renewable resource\, par excellence\, t hat are renewed by nature and human for millennia. Recently\, they have dr awn tremendous attention of both scientific community and industrial secto rs due to their abundance\, low cost\, good specific mechanical properties and environmental benefits. In this context\, the use of natural fibres e xtracted from plants\, seem to be highly attractive for production of comp osites. In addition\, processing of natural fibres generates wastes\, that are mostly organic and at the end of its life cycle\, they are 100% biode gradable. Due to the increasing environmental concern and depletion of non -renewable resources\, natural fibres have conquested wide range of applic ations in different industrial sectors including automobiles\, power produ ction\, sports\, architecture and medicines. Consequently\, extensive tech nological and scientific research and developments are being undertaken by various institutes and organisations around the world\, for turning these amazing materials into eco-friendly value added products and stepping tow ards a greener world. We are extremely happy to organise this Workshop for sharing the knowledge on extraction of bio fibres and manufacturing of st ructural components by Natural Composites.
