 communication. It can be done by designing an antenna using metamaterial t
 echnology that integrates the qualities of both waveguides and planar tran
 smission lines. In the fifth generation mobile communication systems\, Bea
 m forming is important to switch over the beam to different users which re
 duce the interference and multipath fading effects The objective of this s
 eminar is to explore the possible ways of miniaturization of antenna using
  met materials along with the techniques like slits\, slots\, Defected Mic
 ro strip Structure (DMS) and Defected Ground Structures (DGS). The technic
