The research methods and techniques dealt with in the resear ch methodology covers both quantitative and qualitative approaches in scie ntific research. Quantitative methods aim to classify features\, count the m\, and create statistical models to test hypotheses and explain observati ons. Qualitative methods aim for a complete\, detailed description of obse rvations\, including the context of events and circumstances. An experimen t is a research method for investigating cause and effect under highly con trolled conditions. When conducting an experiment\, researchers will test a hypothesis and hypothesis is a statement of how two or more variables ar e related. A survey is a research which target some population\, which are the people who are the focus of research. The workshop aims to improve th e research skills and competence among the researchers by strengthening th eir knowledge as well as improving researcher’s technical writing skill\ , etc.
\n
\nOBJECTIVES
\n To import a comprehension on t he fundamental system of research process.
\n To enable the partic ipants\, define research problem\, developing an approach to research prob lem and selection of suitable research design.
\n To impart capabi lities for formulation and testing of hypothesis based on the nature of re search.
\n Approaching a research problem and planning research.\n Practicing hands-on exercises and examples (LaTeX\, Beamer\, Ove rleaf and other drawing tools).
\n To enable the participants to u nderstand research paper writing and writing research proposals.
