\nScope and Goals
\nThe 2024 International C onference on Social and Sustainable Innovations in Technology and Engineer ing – SASI-ITE’24\, Posters program presents excellent opportunities f or graduate students\, undergraduate students\, researchers\, practitioner s\, entrepreneurs\, and start-ups to showcase their work and engage with t he international quantum computing R&\;D community during the conferenc e. Posters are intended to stimulate discussions of recent advances\, expe riences\, and challenges in quantum computing and engineering.
\n
\nPoster Evaluation Criteria
\nPosters are accepted according to th e following evaluation criteria:
\n
\nExpected interest in and n ovelty of the poster’s topic among people in the engineering communities .
\nQuality of the poster submission including the extended abstract and the actual poster.
\nPotential of the poster to advance the Socia l and Sustainable Innovations\, engineering research and practice.
\n Poster Proposal Submission Format
\nPlease follow the following submi ssion instructions care. Each poster proposal must conform at the time of submission to the IEEE Formatting Instructions (i.e.\, title in 24pt font and full text in 10pt type. The submission must also comply with the IEEE Policy on Authorship.
\n
\nEach poster proposal should be 4 page s long\, should be typeset using the above IEEE instructions\, and must in clude the following sections in one PDF file and in the order specified be low.
\n
\nYour poster should cover the KEY POINTS of your work. The ideal poster is designed to:
\n
\nAttract attention
\nP rovide a brief overview of your work
\nInitiate discussion and questi ons
\n1. Poster title — descriptive and attractive to potential att endees. The title of your poster should appear at the top in CAPITAL lette rs about 25mm (1″) high.
\n2. Poster authors — Contact informatio n for all poster authors and indicating the main contact. The author(s) na me(s) and affiliation(s) are put below the title.
\n3. Poster abstrac t — 200-250 words.
\n4. Poster relevance — relevance to the theme of SASI-ITE’24.
\n5. Extended poster abstracts for conference proc eedings — a 2-page detailed description of the poster including referenc es\; must be typeset like a paper using the above IEEE instructions includ ing title\, authors\, abstract\, main contents\, and references.
\n6. Actual poster — preliminary poster — at most one page in PDF format. Note the final printed posters should not be larger than the standard size with a width of 36″ (92 cm) and a height of 48” (122 cm).
\nGuid elines for an Effective Poster Design
\n1. Clarity and simplicity — your poster should be easy to understand. Keep your audience in mind and consider what they need to understand your research.
\n2. Layout — make your 5-10 minute presentation flow logically throughout the poster (e .g.\, using colored numbers and/or section headings to ease navigation).\n3. Font and text size — use a simple font and make sure the text s hould be readable from a distance.
\n4. Color scheme — use a consis tent color scheme as well as high contrast between text and background.
\n5. Graphics and visuals — diagrams and figures can be effective and more engaging than text in communicating your ideas.
\n6. Title — should be short and yet descriptive and easy to read from a distance. What is the research topic?
\n7. Contents — present problem statement\, methodology\, contributions\, and conclusions succinctly. Don’t copy pa ragraphs from your extended abstract.
\n8. Citations and acknowledgme nts — cite your sources and acknowledge funding sources.
\n9. Conta ct information — provide your name\, affiliation\, and contact informati on and possibly a URL and/or a QR code.
