Soft Computing is an emerging field that consists of comple
mentary elements of Artificial Neural Networks\, Fuzzy Logic\, Genetic Al
gorithm\, Evolutionary Computation and Machine Learning\, and offers solu
tions where conventional approaches fail. Unlike the normal computing so
ft computing strive for exactness and full truth\, soft computing techniq
ues exploit the given tolerance of imprecision\, partial truth\, and unce
rtainty for
\na particular problem. This will improve the accuracy an
d performance of the overall system. This workshop aims to provide a for
um for current state-of-the-art approaches of soft computing techniques i
n field of Power Electronics and its applications. This workshop also pr
ovides the use of MATLAB toolboxes for implementation of Soft Computing T
echniques for solving problems related to Power Electronics.
