  of K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering in association with Xinfin (Techn
 ology Partner) and tradescrypt.com (Training &amp\; Organising Partner) is
  organizing the ‘Global Blockchain Hackathon 2018’ which will kick off
  on 19th of December and continue till 22nd of December\, 2018.<br />\n<br
  />\nAs the global trend towards digitalization accelerates\, organization
 s need to produce fresh perspectives of doing business. We are committed t
 o create a comprehensive ecosystem where innovators would grow\, prosper a
 nd form a significant part of the mainstream economy. We invite solution c
 reators and visionaries to explore technology and business innovations to 
 help shape the future!<br />\n<br />\nThe objective of Hackathon is to giv
 e a platform to enterprising youth\, startups &amp\; entrepreneurs across 
 the nation and use their out-of-the-box thinking on Blockchain tech and to
  gather developers\, students\, creatives and community leaders who will s
 howcase their skills and vision for the next generation of up and coming i
 nnovators.<br />\n<br />\nGlobal Blockchain Hackathon 2018\, envisaged as 
 a three day event is one of its kind initiative for promotion of Informati
 on Technology at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering which aims to give a
  platform to all tech-enthusiasts to showcase their unique coding skills i
 n Blockchain technology.<br />\n<br />\nGlobal Blockchain Hackathon 2018 i
 nvites participants from across the globe and will produce immensely talen
 ted coders which will help to take the Blockchain Technology to great heig
 hts.<br />\n<br />\nThis hackathon challenges hackers\, designers\, and id
 ea generators to create immersive projects using the blockchain and/ or cr
 yptocurrency technologies. Develop the next generation of ideas that will 
 transform the crypto industry for a chance to win INR 1\,00\,000.<br />\n<
 br />\nThis is an ON-SITE hackathon. Please register only if you're on loc
 ation.<br />\nTeam Size Allowed: 1 - 4 membersPrizes:<br />\n<br />\nFirst
  Prize - INR 50\,000<br />\nSecond Prize - INR 30\,000<br />\nThird Prize 
 - INR 20\,000<br />\n<br />\nRules:<br />\n<br />\n• All code\, design a
 nd assets must be written and created during the duration of the Hackathon
 . You cannot use existing code that you have written and finish it during 
 the event.<br />\n• The team members need to bring their own laptops\, c
 ell phones\, mobile charger\, power bank\, multi-plug\, etc. It is better 
 if the team keeps an USB internet modem with them so that they can use it 
 if any unavoidable circumstance occurs.<br />\n• The organizers reserve 
 the right to make changes to the event program.<br />\n• You are permitt
 ed to use any publicly available open source resources (APIs\, images\, da
 tasets\, etc.) in your prototype.<br />\n• Participants are free to make
  plans and brainstorm prior to the event.<br />\n• Only registered teams
  will be allowed to participate in the hackathon.<br />\n<br />\nFAQs:<br 
 />\n<br />\n1) Do I need to pay any money to register for the Global Block
 chain Hackathon?<br />\nNo. You do not have to pay anything to anyone to r
 egister yourself for any Global Blockchain Hackathon.<br />\n<br />\n2) Do
  I need to have any specific qualifications to be a participant for the Ha
 ckathon?<br />\nIf you love to code\, you are more than welcome to partici
 pate in the Hackathon.<br />\n<br />\n3) Do we need to have the entire ide
 a fully working?<br />\nThe entire idea need not be fully implemented howe
 ver\, the submission should be functional so that it can be reviewed by th
 e judges.<br />\n<br />\n4) Since there is no specific technology mentione
 d\, are there any restrictions on using number of pre-built libraries?<br 
 />\nThere is no restriction to use any language\, technology stack\, or li
 braries. You can use any of them to create the web/mobile application.<br 
 />\n<br />\n5) Who will own the IP (Intellectual Property) Rights to the p
 roduct that I have built?<br />\nThe developer(s) of the web/ mobile appli
 cation will have all rights and own the IP of the product.<br />\n<br />\n
 6) If I am not a resident of Mumbai\, is arrangement for accommodation for
  the hackathon possible?<br />\nYes\, arrangements will be made.</p>
