Fest – O- Comm (FOC) is an annual student festival hosted by Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (SIMC)\, PG\, Pune. FOC is a one-of-its-kind communication fest\, with a stunning mix of events\, which range from media-related tasks to testing one’s business acumen.
This year\, FOC is back with the theme ‘The Art of Storytelling’. Presented by Zee Entertainment Enterprise Limited\, Fest -O-Comm 2015 bri ngs together creativity and talent on a common platform. This time around\ , prizes worth Rs. 5\,00\,000 are up for grabs through twenty events spann ing academics\, cultural and sports.

c and cultural events ranging from Take 24\, a 24-hour filmmaking event to

mplary work in front of a panel of judges from Zee Entertainment Enterpris
e Limited\, the postgraduate winners of Zee Entertainment Talent Platform
events will be awarded an internship with Zee Network. Exceptional perform
ers among the participants also stand to win a pre-placement interview wit
h Zee. Prizes worth Rs. 2\,00\,000 will be awarded to the winners of this
competition.

For music lovers\, events like Battle – of- the- Bands vow to entertain. MIDIval Punditz\, one of India’s leading fusion and electronica music groups\, are set to enthrall the audience with their lively tunes. Students have the opportun ity to design digital strategies for brands and participate in the best qu izzing challenge as a part of Fest – O –Comm’s academic spectrum of events. Sports enthusiasts are not left far behind\, with badminton\, foot ball and cricket keeping the excitement on the field high.
With ever y passing year\, SIMC has outdone itself and created a fest that attracts participation from several renowned B-schools across the country. In the p ast\, the fest has hosted industry bigwigs as special guests\, like Madhur Bhandarkar\, Vidhu Vinod Chopra\, Sudhir Mishra\, Anurag Kashyap and Kara n Oberoi.
In 2014\, a unique festival hosted by Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication\, SIMCinema Rewind 2014\, celebrated creativity and individualism through its theme of films. This three-day extravaganz a comprised events such as Photo Story\, Film Quiz\, Fashion Show and Batt le of the Bands.
Every year\, the highlights of FOC include performa nces by some the country’s leading musicians\, such as The Raghu Dixit P roject. The fest’s events span across several spheres\, which are Academ ic\, Cultural\, Sports\, Gaming\, Fine Arts\, Performing Arts\, and Litera ry Arts.
Fest- O – Comm 2015 promises to be an interesting mix of artistry and entertainment\, and it hopes to create\, yet again\, an atmos phere of youthful energy\, learning and creativity.
