 nts with the practical<br />\naspects of optimization methodology\, with a
 <br />\nmajor focus on the techniques and strategies<br />\nthrough lectur
 es sessions. The FDP will be useful<br />\nto research scholars\, faculty 
 and personnel<br />\nworking in the domains of optimization<br />\nalgorit
 hms\, ranging from those applicable to the<br />\nminimization of a single
 -variable function to those<br />\nsuitable for large-scale nonlinearly co
 nstrained<br />\napplications. The course covers introduction to<br />\nop
 timization\; classification of optimization<br />\nproblem\, unconstrained
  minimization –<br />\nunivariable cases and multivariable cases\,<br />
 \nquadratic optimization problem\, constrained<br />\noptimization\, linea
 r programming and nonlinear<br />\nprogramming with application examples.<
