 rication.<br />\nAdvancements in integrated circuit technology have<br />\
 nresulted in smaller\, cheaper and faster digital computers<br />\ncapable
  of performing specialized digital signal<br />\nprocessing operations and
  tasks. Digital signal<br />\nprocessing functions can be implemented thro
 ugh<br />\nprogrammable hardware and these DSP operations can<br />\nalso 
 be modified through software. Digital Signal<br />\nProcessing plays a vit
 al role in various fields of<br />\nCommunication\, Robotics\, Speech Proc
 essing\, System<br />\nidentification etc\,. The main objective of this fa
 culty<br />\ndevelopment programme is to discuss recent advances in<br />\
 nDigital Signal Processing techniques and research<br />\nchallenges.<br /
