SUMMARY:Esya 2016
LOCATION:IIIT Delhi\, Delhi
DESCRIPTION:
Esya is IIIT Delhi's annual technical festival. We aim to bu
ild Esya as a platform for not only showcasing technical expertise and cha
llenging the best in their fields\, but also to integrate technology with
social causes. Esya is a journey\, an adventure that aims to explore infin
ity and beyond. After five successful years of seeing promising talents an
d immense reception\, we intend to take Esya to a whole new level. This ye
ar’s Esya is set to break all boundaries and “explore the unexplored
” in keeping with the essence of the name. The two day festival will hos
t a series of unique and challenging events to set abuzz the best brains.
Esya\, this year\, promises to be an unprecedented celebration of budding
talent\, technical excellence and innovative minds.
\nEsya’16 bring
s forward the revolutionary and popular idea of Internet of Things. The ev
ents and contests in Esya will be centered around this theme. Despite bein
g one of the most talked-about subjects\, only a small portion of the popu
lation knows what Internet of Things really is. Simply put\, this concept
deals with the connection of any regular device with an on/off switch to t
he internet.
\nThe Internet of Things (IoT) allows for virtually endl
ess opportunities and connections to take place. In a country like India -
with a population in billions\, IoT can open doors to a plethora of oppor
tunities for individuals and communities to access the internet and connec
t with each other.
\nEsya is an essential platform to gain informatio
n about the concept of the Internet of Things. The technical festival will
help educate and foster learning in students and the vast majority of thi
s country. It will also serve as a rostrum for students to kickstart their
preparations for some of the most prestigious competitions.
\n
