SUMMARY:Emerging Trends In Automotives
LOCATION:Karpagam College of Engineering\, Coimbatore
DESCRIPTION:
Automotive technology is the practical application of knowle
dge about self-propelled vehicles or machines. Many of these technologies
also have other applications. One of the biggest trends right now in autom
otive engineering is improving engine efficiency and fuel economy. The eme
rging trends of automotives focus on improving transmissions (adding speed
s)\, accessory load reduction through the intelligent energy management of
 other vehicle components\, vehicle electrification\, hybridization\, impr
oved battery management systems\, new battery chemistries\, and power elec
tronics. A smaller but still significant aspect of fuel-efficiency researc
h is called "intelligent energy management”.
