ELECTROCOMM HACKATHON
\nECE Department had its modest b eginning on June 1999 under the manifestation of Most Revered Honorable Pr esident Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. Sona SIPRO has always tried to develop effic ient algorithms to address sociology-relevant problems.
\nObjectives< br />\n• Understand various mathematical concepts and hence utilize them for Signal\, VLSI\, image processing applications\, thereby providing sol utions for everyday societal problems.
\n• Collaborate with academi c\, industry and non-governmental organizations falling under the matching areas for carrying out competitive research.
\n• Develop algorithm s pertaining to the area of signal and image processing and hence evaluate them on a real-time scenario

\nAt the present time\, the ima ge processing technique is highly used across different industries\, which is used to form core investigate region in engineering as well as in diff erent disciplines too.
\nAs you would be involved in continuous 10 ho urs of coding\, we would be providing the following from our side:
\n a. A worktable with necessary power sockets along with a 24 x 7 UPS backup would be provided for individual batches.
\nb. Secured Wi-Fi connect ivity of up to 1 Mbps with uninterrupted internet (*subject to the service provider’s provision)
\nc. A normal reclining facility would be av ailable as and when required at the venue.
\nd. Doctor-on-call would be available at the venue with basic medical equipment and emergency medic ines. However\, if any of the participant is undertaking any regular medic ine\, it is recommended that they make necessary arrangements for the same .
\ne. There is Rs.200 REGISTRATION FEE per head for the event.
\nf. The venue would be under total surveillance for the purpose of judgin g.
\ng. Judgmental suggestions and discussions would be done with eac h of the batches on a rotational basis for supplementing your thoughts for the given problem.
\nh. Each of the participant would be given with a participant certificate at the end of the event.
\nNote:
\na. If required\, the prize winners of the event need to present their work to the audience at the end of the event.
\nb. All the codes developed d uring the process needs to be handed over the organizing team. Only then t he team would be validated for scrutiny.
\nc. There would be 50% of T A provided for the outside (Other state only)participating team during the days of the event.
\nd. As a part of the event\, each batch should p roduce a one-minute video presentation about the project along with demons tration at the end of the event. The script for the video and jockeying sh ould be done by the participating team itself. However\, as and when requi red video recording support would be given from the campus side.
