CYBER-X HUNT — Capture The Flag (CTF) is a one-day technic al cybersecurity event organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engine ering &\; Technology (DSCET)\, ECR\, Mamallapuram\, Chennai.

\nThe event is designed to provide participants with an engaging and ch allenging platform to test their technical knowledge\, cybersecurity aware ness\, and practical problem-solving abilities. CYBER-X HUNT consists of t wo major games: a Technical Quiz and a progressive Capture The Flag (CTF) competition.
\n
\nGame 1 — Technical Quiz (100 Points)
\n
\nThe event begins with a single-round technical quiz focused on tec hnical and cybersecurity domains. This round evaluates participants' under standing of cybersecurity concepts and technical knowledge\, serving as th e initial assessment before they proceed to the practical CTF challenges. The maximum score for this round is 100 points\, which will be added to th e CTF score.

\nGame 2 — Capture The Flag (CTF) Competition (900 Points)
\n
\nThe CTF competition is the practical cybersecu rity challenge of CYBER-X HUNT. Participants will solve a series of cybers ecurity problems across three progressive difficulty levels\, with challen ges becoming more difficult from Easy to Hard.
\n
\nThe CTF cons ists of a total of 25 challenges:
\n
\n• Round 1 — Easy: 10 challenges | 100 points
\n
\n• Round 2 — Medium: 10 challeng es | 300 points
\n
\n• Round 3 — Hard: 5 challenges | 500 po ints
\n
\nThe CTF uses a time-based scoring system\, with points decreasing gradually based on the time taken to solve each challenge. A l ive scoreboard displays real-time scores and rankings\, encouraging partic ipants to demonstrate speed\, accuracy\, and effective problem-solving.
\n
\nThe 900 points earned in the CTF will be combined with the 10 0 points from the Technical Quiz\, resulting in a maximum overall score of 1\,000 points. The final results will be determined based on participants ' total scores from both games.
\n
\nParticipants may register i ndividually or as a team of up to two members. The registration fee is ₹ 200 per team or individual. Normal search engines and publicly available d ocumentation are allowed\, while AI assistance\, sharing flags\, solutions \, write-ups\, and payloads are strictly prohibited. Participants must onl y interact with the designated CTF infrastructure and follow all event rul es.
