The seminar is designed for UG/PG students\, faculties\, res earch scholars etc.\, and will cover the security vulnerabilities so that the participants would be benefited by gathering a good understanding of t he problems at hand. It would also provide a platform to discuss the defen sive strategies and tricks\, as well as the overall architecture\, which h ave been proven to help secure sites.

\nIt would also help in identifying the gaps in the current scenario and ascertain potential rese arch directions towards enabling trust in cyber security\, categorizing me thods and techniques for establishing trust in web application and embedde d systems security\, and also setting up an active knowledge sharing platf orm.

\nTowards generating adequate trust and confidence in tr ansactions in cyberspace it is imperative to build a secure and resilient cyberspace. Embedded system security is another emerging area\, nurturing towards a strategic approach to protect software running on embedded syste ms from attack. As on date\, security of embedded systems is often ignored during the design and development period of the product\, thus leaving ma ny devices vulnerable to attacks. To get a better perspective\, it would b e beneficial for the student community to look at the traits of embedded s ystems security which are different from those of software security.

\nThe seminar would on the whole concentrate on identifying\, supp orting\, and driving research activities towards addressing the cyber secu rity challenges relevant for web applications and embedded systems.
