We\, the Department of Computer Applications\, CMR Institute Of Technology are planning to conduct a National Conference on “Converg ence of Technologies for Education and Research” on 22nd March\, 2014.

Objective of the Conference:
The objective of a confere nce is to provide a forum for the communication of advancements in the fie ld of application of technologies in education and research both through f ormal paper presentations and informal discussions. The combination of edu cation and technology has been considered the main key to human progress. Education feeds technology\, which in turn forms the basis for education. The world needs today is talent in understanding the impact of technology on the society and individuals. We have to produce graduates of all discip lines with some depth of understanding of the environment\, of the consequ ences of large-scale inequity\, and the difference between technological d evelopment and human development. New technologies are allowing academic r esearchers to branch out and discover new and innovative ways of sourcing and analyzing data. Social media platforms\, online libraries and digital collaboration tools are now a staple of many researcher practices and have brought new dimensions to problem solving\, results sharing\, data collec tion and analysis. The role of technology\, especially the web and mobile technology etc.\, in overcoming the physical barriers and enabling access to the right knowledge at the right time to millions of people around the world cannot be refuted.
