About Event
Nova capture the flag is a jeopardy style CTF, a cyber quest conducted as a part of Yugam 2020, the annual techno-cultural fest of Kumaraguru institution. This event aims at instilling curiosity among young hackers and encourages them to learn further, try harder and get deeper into the field of cyber security.
The challenges in CTF include web, forensic, crypto, binary, reverse and hardware. In this event the participants are required to obtain the flag which serves as a proof of their exploit. Initially an online preliminary round will be conducted on 25th February 2020,which can be accessed from anywhere and then selected top 15 teams will be directly qualified to Nova Ctf Finale.
Participants who wish to have a better insight on CTF could attend the Ethical Hacking workshop on 29th February 2020, which would be conducted in prior to this event.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
• A team can have at most 3 members.
• The registrations will be limited to first 30 teams only.
• It’s optional to have a laptop per team and their system must be Ubuntu/Kali Linux OS installed.
• Personal Computers will also be provided for teams.
• DOS attacks or generating huge traffic by any means is strictly prohibited.
• Teams are not allowed to share flags, solutions or collaborate in any other ways during the period of competition.
• Violation of the above mentioned rules will result in unconditional disqualification
