About Event

NIT Warangal celebrates its heart and soul in the form of TECHNOZION (ISO 9001:2008), the annual technical festival, organized by student fraternity at National Institute of Technology, Warangal.
Technozion has been achieving the ladder of success since its inception in 2006. This eleventh edition will span across 21-23 October 2016. Due to the deterministic efforts from Technozion team and valuable support from the college, it is gaining attention of crowds of young engineers in the country each year. Technozion is popular as the biggest technical event in South India.
With the aim of gathering engineering students from various regions and providing them opportunity to showcase their abilities and talents, Technozion organizes many astounding events, workshops, exhibits, thought provoking guest lectures, paper presentations and initiatives balancing and integrating social, environmental and economic dimensions. Technozion has embodied the in depth meaning of its motto: ‘Create, Conceive and Conquer.’
In the short term, Technozion tries to fulfill two objectives:
- To provide the brilliant student community a platform to assemble, associate and assimilate knowledge and to exercise their prowess in the myriad practical applications of the knowledge gained in classrooms.
- To make world class exposure accessible to the participants and let the student community experience and marvel at the latest developments in their areas of interest pertaining to science and technology.

Theme:

Every year, technozion comes up with a unique theme that defines the objective and nature of the festival. In the past, Technozion has brought the plethora of events, workshops, guest lectures and video conferences under a common theme. Heterogeneous themes like ”Go Green”, “Space Engineering”, ”Climate Change Engineering”, “Technology and Evolution”, “Gandhian Engineering(Frugal Engineering)”, “Ethical Innovation”, ”Primitive engineering”, “Digital India” have found place in the history of Technozion. Presenting “CHRONOS” as the theme for this edition of Technozion, Unravelling the timeline of Technology where we present you the disruptive technological revolution, like how email was to telegrams etc., a journey from past to present and from present to future.

Initiative:

With a sense of social responsibility Technozion took up some initiatives to create a social impact on the society namely,
“VOW” (Voices of Women): Striving for Women Empowerment, “DISHA”: Directing Rural India especially farmers towards sustainable development, “SAVE CHENETHA”: Presenting the problems faced by chenetha karmikulu to the concerned authorities besides measures to be taken to support their living, “WEBUCATION”: Making the elderly familiar with the Web based technologies and many more.

In this edition of Technozion we present you nearly 10 workshops from different fields of engineering namely “Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking”, “Cloud Computing”, “Tall Building Design”, “Motorcycle Overhauling”, “IC Engine and ATV Design”, “BIG DATA and Hadoop”, “Android App Development”, “Biped Robotics” etc.,
Outreach:
With more than 800 institutes participating and digital outreach to 2, 00,000, the largest technical fest in South India has established a robust outreach across the student fraternity. Every year we have a footfall of nearly 11,000 (6000 in-house students + 5000 students from across the SAARC countries).
The registration process has begun for Technozion 2016 which is to beld on October 21-23. This year we expect a huge turnout beating all previous records. Many colleges from the twin states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are expected to participate in huge numbers.
