The massive amount of information and sequence data that emerged from the Human Genome Project has opened new vistas for exploring the functional role of genes. Machine learning techniques, Next Generation Sequencing, Genome wide studies, Systems Biology approaches, Microarrays and High Throughput assays have enabled the understanding of gene expression mechanisms and patterns. The International Conference on Structural and Functional Genomics will address the advances in the field in Functional Genomics, Systems Biology, gene expression and next generation sequencing besides structural biology initiatives and drug design that have captured the interest the past decade. This Conference brings together high profile researchers from the academic and industrial arena to discuss the evolving trends in the field and would provide an ideal platform for understanding newer directions and opportunities in the field.

Other Details
ICSAFG is a conference organized by the Department of Bioinformatics at SASTRA University,India. Eminent speakers from different regions of the world will enlighten us on specific aspects of Structural and Functional Genomics. Participants from all parts of the world are welcome. Paper(Full length research articles describing original work) can be published in this conference Proceedings. All articles selected through the peer review will be published as a Special Issue in the journal of Current Bioinformatics ( Bentham Science Publishers) which appears in the list of Science Citation Index Journals.
