\n**Internship Opportunity: Winners of BioCodeX 20 26 will receive an opportunity to intern at Boltzmann Labs Pvt. Ltd.**\, s ubject to the company's selection process and requirements.

\ n**BioCodeX 2026** is the flagship **Bioinformatics Hackathon of BioYUVA 2 026**\, organized by **Club GENOVA\, SRM Institute of Science and Technolo gy\, Tiruchirappalli**\, in association with **Boltzmann Labs Pvt. Ltd.** The hackathon brings together students interested in **bioinformatics\, co mputational biology\, artificial intelligence\, drug discovery\, protein e ngineering\, and biotechnology**.

\nThe event gives participa nts the opportunity to work on an **industry-led scientific problem statem ent**\, develop a hypothesis\, use computational and AI-powered bioinforma tics tools\, analyze results\, and present their solution to an expert jud ging panel.
\n
\n### Complete Bioinformatics &\; Boltzmann La bs Workshop
\n
\n**Participants will receive a complete workshop on the use of Boltzmann Labs' computational tools and relevant bioinforma tics tools before the competition.** The workshop will be provided by **Bo ltzmann Labs**\, giving participants an opportunity to learn the tools and understand how they can be applied to computational biology and drug-disc overy problems before entering the hackathon.
\n
\nThis means pa rticipants **do not need to already be experts in the Boltzmann Labs platf orm**. The workshop will help teams become familiar with the tools and pre pare them for the industry-led challenge. The official rulebook confirms t hat the tool-use workshop will be provided to all participants ahead of th e competition.
\n
\n### Hackathon Format
\n
\nThe comp etition consists of **two rounds with a total of 36 hours of problem solvi ng**.
\n
\n**Round 1 – Online Round | 30 Hours**
\n
\nAn industry-led problem statement\, developed in association with Boltzm ann Labs\, will be released to registered teams. Teams will have 30 hours to understand the problem\, formulate a scientific hypothesis\, and develo p a computational solution using the **Boltzmann Labs tool suite**\, along with other bioinformatics tools where required.
\n
\nTeams must submit their **results\, workflow/pipeline\, tools used\, and a brief rep ort explaining their approach**.
\n
\n**Round 2 – On-Campus Gr and Finale | 6 Hours**
\n
\nQualifying teams will attend the fin al round at **SRM IST Tiruchirappalli**. Teams will receive changes to the problem statement and will have **6 hours to adapt their solution\, solve the revised challenge\, and present their final work to the judges**.
\n
\n### Industry Exposure
\n
\nThe **Flagship Technology Partner\, Boltzmann Labs**\, is a BioAI company working on data-driven so lutions for precision medicine. Its areas include **target and biomarker i dentification\, small-molecule design\, antibody design\, protein engineer ing\, and custom synthesis planning**. Participants will get exposure to i ts computational tool suite as part of the competition.

\n### Eligibility
\n
\nBioCodeX is open to **undergraduate and postgr aduate students**\, including students pursuing B.Sc.\, B.Tech.\, B.E.\, M .Sc.\, M.Tech.\, M.E.\, and other bachelor's and master's programmes.
\n
\n* **Team size:** 1–6 members
\n* Individual participatio n is allowed
\n* All members must be from the same college
\n* E ach participant can be part of only one team

\n### Evaluation
