Over the past few decades\, research in the area of energy h as contributed immensely to various technological developments in engineer ing applications. Axial fans are used for propelling small low-speed aircr aft\, while large jets employ axial-ducted fans in their comparatively new turbo-fan concepts. During this interactive hands-on workshop\, participa nts will be introduced to various modules of the AxSTREAM® platform to mo del thermodynamic cycles\, design turbomachinery components\, analyze roto r-bearing systems\, and study thermal-fluid network modeling. At the end o f this workshop\, participants will have a high-level understanding to bui ld a conceptual design of a turbomachine from scratch as well as model and simulate secondary flow systems and rotor-bearing assemblies in AxSTREAM ®.
