SCHEMCON 2024: Students’ Chemical Engineering Congress (SC HEMCON) is an annual event organized by the Institutes having Student Chap ter (SC) of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) under one o f its Regional Centers (RC). It serves as a premier platform for Chemical Engineering students\, offering opportunities to explore\, learn\, and gai n insights into the ever-expanding realm of chemical engineering. SCHEMCON -2024 marks the 20th annual session and is jointly organized by IIChE RGIP T Student Chapter\, the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology\, Jais (RGIPT) and the Amethi Regional Center of IIChE.
\nThe cornerstone of chemical engine ering has always been innovation - the relentless pursuit of novel solutio ns to address societal needs while minimizing environmental impact for sus tainable development. Today\, however\, this pursuit is taking us into unc harted territories\, where traditional boundaries are blurred\, and interd isciplinary collaboration is paramount. As we convene at SCHEMCON-2024\, w e embark on a journey of exploration towards embracing the dawn of a new e ra in the field of chemical engineering\, where we delve into the frontier s of science\, technology\, and sustainability to pave the way for a brigh ter tomorrow. The theme for this year’s conference\, “New Paradigms of Chemical Engineering” encapsulates the essence of this transformative e ra and resonates deeply with the dynamic landscape of chemical engineering \, which is constantly evolving in response to emerging challenges and opp ortunities
