DESCRIPTION:<p>This colloquium will foster interactions between seasoned sc
 ientists and students and also aims to provide a platform for students to 
 gain exposure to advancement in this interdisciplinary field. The speakers
  in this colloquium are eminent scientists in their respective fields and 
 they will provide a comprehensive overview of the theoretical and experime
 ntal concepts\, necessary to understand photonics extensively\, describing
  the significant recent advances with a very broad perspective. We have al
 so planned a competition (Photothon2021) for students along with this even
 t to encourage them towards scientific thinking in industry level problem-
