Throughout the year, the multiple events of our Techno-Management Fest build up to the magnificent finale that lies before you: The 5 days and nights of Aaruush. With a plethora of events lined up for our participants, the 14th edition of Aaruush is prepared to leave a blazing trail of innovation. With Luminary Addresses by esteemed professionals, workshops by Industrial Giants like BMW and IBM, Unconference with a stellar panel and multiple competitive events from the 14 domains, Aaruush'20 promises to be phenomenal in terms of audience engagement and innovation.
AARUUSH INAUGURAL
The inauguration ceremony of Aaruush’20 will be held on the 8th of October. The event will mark the beginning of the five days of Aaruush. This momentous occasion will be graced by the higher management and esteemed staff members of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Aaruush is proud to announce the presence of two extremely illustrious and renowned individuals at the ceremony, Dr. V.K. Aatre as the Chief Guest and Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar as the guest of honor.
Dr. V.K. Aatre has served as the Director General of DRDO, succeeding Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and guided India's defense at the highest level, while holding the position of scientific advisor to our Minister of Defence. Dr. V.K. Aatre is the recipient of India's highest civilian honours, the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan. Currently, he heads the prestigious IIEST Shibpur, as its chairman.
Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar has firmly established his standing in that field while serving in positions like Head Scientist of Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Director-in-charge of the National AIDS Research Institute (NARI). Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar is a Padma Shri recipient.
Events
LUMINARY ADDRESSES
Luminary addresses aim at shedding light on a particular sphere of life featuring highly knowledgeable individuals and accomplished professionals. Aaruush 20’ presents yet another edition of Luminary Addresses aimed at expanding the barriers of learning.
Dr. Deepali Pant Joshi, Former Executive Director of Reserve Bank of India, will provide an insight into "Financial Literacy among Indian students".
"Dividing into success: Deriving vigour from sports" will be addressed by Mr. Shams Aalam who represented India in Asian Para Games Jakarta Indonesia in 2018.
Ms. Bhargavi Sunkara, The Head of Asset Servicing Technology at BNY Mellon Technology, will highlight the importance of “Evolution of Women Leaders: The Next Big Feat”.
UNCONFERENCE
Unconference is an event hosted by Aaruush which offers a platform for an exchange of visionary ideas and discussions between embellished individuals from different fields. This year’s Unconference topic is based on “Career satisfaction v/s Sustainable Career” with an esteemed panel consisting of Mr. Anuj Tiwari (a bestselling author), Mr. Gaurang Sanghvi (a leading authority on finances), Ms. Disha Chabbra (Product Manager at Google) and Ms. Eshika Fyzee (a National Geographic Explorer). The event is scheduled to be held on 11th October with hopes of a promising learning outcome.
UPCOMING CHALLENGES
Machine Learning Challenge is specifically designed to test the participants core technical skills and problem-solving abilities. It is a 40 hour long challenge that will start on the 9th of October. The winners will get a chance to train and intern with our partners, Nikhil Analytics.
Capture The Flag Challenge is a perfect opportunity for hackers, cybersecurity geeks and CTF enthusiasts to test their skills and knowledge about the world of hacking, and challenge their minds in the 12- hour long ethical hacking crusade. Winners will get prizes upto 17 thousand INR, free online courses and internship opportunities.
UPCOMING DOMAIN EVENTS
During the five days of Aaruush’20, the 14 domains will be hosting interactive events for the participants that will be joining us. All domains have come up with one event each. An overwhelming response is expected for the events. Prizes worth Rs. 5,000 will be given to the winner of each event.

UPCOMING WORKSHOPS
Modernized Automotive Dynamics workshop is expected to be a lively discussion on Recent Automobile Industry Trends conducted by Goodwin Motors, in collaboration with BMW as the Skill Initiative Partner. The workshop will provide skill development through hands-on experience, industry updates on practical training, and contemporary trends in luxury automobiles.
The Cognitive Computing Workshop promises to be an interesting 2-day event, aiming to provide
hands-on experience and insightful knowledge about Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence using the IBM Services. It hopes to impart insight into the world of data science using Watson Studio and Auto AI, and explore new depths on Computer Vision and Image recognition using IBM recognition.
Digital Marketing Workshop will be presided by Mr. Mohit Rathi, an entrepreneur and digital marketer, hopes to provide a comprehensive learning of the nuances and tactics of online advertising for an insightful 2 days workshop. It’s expected to be a gripping with a huge turnout, the attraction being the giveaway of two free courses for online marketing along with hands-on experience into Digital Marketing, SEO and Google Ads!
