The Crust
Wonders ought to happen when an amalgam of knowledge and professionalism is being formed. The Crust aims at producing them for the Industry. The UPES AAPG (American Association of Petroleum Geologist) Student Chapter of University of Petroleum & Energy Studies is proud to announce their first ever National Level Conference and Workshop THE CRUST- Together Towards Tomorrow .The idea came about with a need to develop a close link between the Academics and the Industry.
Most of the time companies face the dilemma that the recruited students are lacking the basic professional skills and the mettle needed to sustain in this tough completion of OIL & GAS and Energy Industry. Though it seems to be a small concern at the moment but it accumulates into a major problem at a later stage so The CRUST is the endeavour aimed to give students the tools needed for a successful career in future and helps student grow from a Liability into Asset for the company. A 3-Day event which will comprise various paper presentations, poster presentations, conceptual modelling, case studies, quizzes, workshops, etc.
The objectives for THE CRUST 2016 are to:
Explore ways that open innovation principles best applied to rapidly bridge the gap between industry and the students;
Provide higher quality of learning and exposure and Improved quality access to a whole new experience;
Bring the recent developments in industry closer to the future pool of Petroleum Engineers, Geologist, Energy Sector Professionals.
To commemorate this occasion, UPES AAPG STUDENT CHAPTER is looking forward to see you at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun and promote the importance of sustainability and protecting our environment.

How to reach University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun
. Dehradun is well connected by road and railways with New Delhi, Roorkee and Kanpur. The UPES campus is nearly 25 km from Dehradun Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) or Dehradun Railway Station and 45 km from Jolly Grant Airport. One can reach the UPES campus from ISBT, Railway Station or Airport by taxies.
